illiam Stetz (aka Stecz) is a photographer and filmmaker living in California. His work includes cityscapes, people at work, portraits of filmmakers, images of Greece, Chicago, California, architectural subjects and abstracts. He is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker and art director.

William Stetz has mastered film production and photography work throughout his career in Chicago and Los Angeles. Bill maintains the role of art director, production designer, sound crew, camera and lighting crew, still photographer, producer and director. His work in the television industry includes art direction on multiple series for Lifetime Medical Television, the Cable Health Network and others. (IMDb profile.) Most recently, he produced and directed the bio-documentary “A Handmade Life,” an official selection of the Ventura Film Festival (Honorable Mention) and the Idyllwild CinemaFest. Bill’s photographic portrait work includes entertainment industry subjects such as Clint Eastwood, François Bonnot, John Frankenheimer, Carol Littleton, Steven Spielberg and Nicolas Roeg among others.

As a filmmaker, Mr. Stetz has been a producer, director or designer of commercials, shorts, animations, title and graphic sequences. His film work is referenced on his production company website, American Prairie Artists. He feels a close affinity to “home,” was raised in Illinois and currently resides in California.
